Edwards Recoil Reducers

PRODUCT LINES:

The Edwards Recoil Reducer® design is based on a piston, suspended between 2 springs of unequal ratio, being placed in motion by the reward movement of recoil.  The recoil compresses the piston against the strong spring which, in turn, forces it against the weaker spring.  This action happens numerous times every time you fire a shot, thereby reducing the felt recoil.  Edwards Recoil Reducer® offers 3 different types of mechanical recoil reduction devices to suit your recoil reduction needs:

The Adjustable Recoil Reducer, our premium model, is designed to install in a one-inch hole.  In concert with the recoil reduction of the piston action, the unique adjusting cams allow for a percentage of recoil to be directed away from the shooters' face or shoulder.  While all recoil to both target areas is reduced, this feature allows for an even greater reduction of the felt recoil.  This unit is offered in 4, 3 1/2 and 3 inch lengths to fix virtually any gunstock.

The Nonadjustable Recoil Reducer is designed to install in a 7/8-inch hole, typically the drawbolt hole.  Using the same patented design as the adjustable, and offered in the same lengths, it, too, reduces recoil to the face and shoulder through the mechanical action.  In cases where recoil is severe, we recommend installing one of these units in tandem with the adjustable unit for optimum recoil control.

Our newest product is called The MAX.  A full 5 inches long, it is a nonadjustable unit intended for installation in synthetic stocks.  The units 7/8" diameter sleeve is simply epoxied into the inside of the stock's comb, and the remainder of the cavity is filled with expandable foam to provide a secure, trouble-free installation.

All of our units are backed by a lifetime warranty and include complete installation instructions, should you decide to install the units yourself.  Of course, professional installation is available from any of our dealers, or from the factory direct.
